Use
In this IMG activity, you maintain the settings for repeat fields that you use in screen structures. For extensive documentation, see the SAP Library: HR Tools -> Developing an Infotype in Personnel Administration -> UI Programming Guidelines for Infotypes -> Screen Structures -> Repeat Field Screen Structures (Type LINE).
Requirements
- The infotype must have repeat fields.
- A screen structure of type Repeat Structure (LINE) must exist for the infotype.
- The screen structure must be configured in the Assign Screen Structure and Conversion Class IMG activity.
- The repeat fields must conform to the conventions described in SAP Library: HR Tools -> Developing an Infotype in Personnel Administration -> UI Programming Guidelines for Infotypes -> Screen Structures -> Repeat Field Screen Structures (Type LINE).
Standard settings
All screen structures provided by SAP for repeat fields are correctly configured. As a customer, you may not change these entries.
Customer screen structures for repeat fields start with the letter Z or Y.
Activities
- Choose Header Datain the dialog structure.
- Choose New Entries.
- Enter the name of the repeat structure.
- Enter the number of repeat records.
The number of repeat records is the maximum number of values that the repeat structure fields can have. For each value, there must be a corresponding field in the P structure of the infotype.
- Enter the number of initial lines.
This value is evaluated by a few applications and determines how many empty lines for input are automatically available when the repeat structure is used in a maintenance dialog for entering values.
- Enter the number of digits for the repeat number.
This value specifies the number of digits that the repeat field has as a suffix in the P structure. With this value the individual repeat fields are counted up. If you do not specify the value (or enter 0 as the value) the system assumes that the suffix has 2 digits.
- Select the repeat structure and choose Field Assignment from the dialog structure.
- Choose New Entries.
- Enter the names of the repeat fields of the repeat structure sequentially.
- For each repeat field of the repeat structure, enter the corresponding first field of the Pnnnn structure (the field that has the suffix 1). The system automatically determines all other fields (with consecutive suffixes) from the previous entries for Number of Repeat Records and Repeat Number Digits.
