Use
In this IMG activity you maintain the assignment of value fields to screen structure text fields (similar to IMG activity SAP: Configure Screen Structure Text Fields . This assignment means the system automatically supplies the specified text field with the the text belonging to the value field.
You can define this assignment both for customer-specific screen structures as well as SAP screen structures. In the case of SAP screen structures, this overrides the settings from the IMG activity SAP: Configure Screen Structure Text Fields.
Note
We advise you not to override the settings provided by SAP.
However, it is possible to make settings for customer-specific fields that are included in the SAP screen structure. For more information, see the SAP library and choose HR Tools -> Developing an Infotype in Personnel Administration -> Enhancing an Infotype Included in the SAP Standard System.
Requirements
- A screen structure must exist for the infotype.
- The screen structure must be configured in the IMG activity Assign Screen Structure and Conversion Class.
Standard settings
Activities
- Specify the work area. Enter the name of the screen structure (table name)for which you want to define the assignment of value fields to text fields.
- Choose New Entries.
- Enter the name of the screen structure for which you want to maintain the assignment of value field to text field.
- Enter the name of the text field.
- Enter the name of the value field.
The value field must be part of the previously specified screen structure.
