Use
An infotype can exist in various infotype versions. You create an infotype version if you require a country-specific, an industry-specific, or an infotype for the public sector of a country.
If a deviating decoupled business logic exists for an infotype version, you must enter the corresponding check class in this IMG activity. If no check class is specified for the infotype version (if the entry does not exist), the check class specified in the Assign Check Classes and Define Permissibility IMG activity is used.
If you develop the infotype version of the decoupled infotype using the Create Infotype IMG activity, this entry is automatically generated. For more information, see SAP Library: HR Tools -> Developing an Infotype in Personnel Administration -> Developing an Infotype -> Creating an Infotype Version.
Requirements
The infotype must be configured in the Assign Check Classes and Define Permissibility IMG activity.
Standard settings
All infotype versions provided by SAP are correctly configured. You as a customer may not change these entries.
The customer infotypes number starts with the number 9 (9nnn).
Activities
If you did not use the Create Infotype IMG activity to create the infotype version of the decoupled infotype, you must manually create this entry. Proceed as follows:
- Enter the Infotype that you want to configure
- Enter the infotype version (Version) for which you defined a deviating business logic
- Enter the check class (ABAP objects class) in which you implemented the specific business logic for the infotype version as the Object Type
