Use

In this IMG activity you define the dialog module that is used for processing a particular (decoupled) infotype version of an infotype in HR master data maintenance (PA30). You only need to make this setting if you have set the permitted in some circumstances indicator for this infotype (IMG activity Assign Check Classes and Define Permissibility). In this case decoupled and not yet decoupled infotype versions of the infotype exist:

  • For the not yet decoupled infotype version, the dialog module entered in table T777D Infotype Dialog/Database Assignment is used. You can display these entries in the Create Infotype IMG activity using the Technical Characteristics pushbutton. The dialog module links to module pools that contain the check logic of the infotype versions that are not decoupled.
  • For the decoupled infotype versions, enter the dialog module in this IMG activity.

If you have set the permitted in all circumstances indicator for an infotype in the Assign Check Classes and Define Permissibility IMG activity, you do not need to make any entries in this IMG activity. Instead, the dialog module from table T777D is used for all infotype versions. In this case, the dialog module must link to the "cored" module pool (the module pools cannot contain any infotype check logic). The infotype check logic only exists in the respective check class.

Note

These settings only come into effect if the decoupled infotype framework is active in your system. This only occurs by releasing the functions of the Concurrent Employment, Management of Global Employees or Payroll for Global Employees applications.

If the infotype framework is not active, these settings have no effect and the infotype runs on the old technology. Meaning that the infotype versions of an infotype only run decoupled when the following conditions are fulfilled:

Either

  • You have decoupled all infotype versions and defined the infotype as permitted in all circumstances

Or

  • The decoupled infotype framework is active
  • You have defined the infotype as permitted in some circumstances
  • For the permitted infotype versions you have made the appropriate entries in this IMG activity

Requirements

  • The infotype is defined as permitted in all circumstances for HR master data maintenance (PA30) in the Assign Check Classes and Define Permissibility IMG activity
  • The dialog modules that you enter link to "cored" module pools (the module pools do not contain any check logic)
  • The infotype check logic only exists in the respective check class

Activities

  1. Enter the infotype (Infty) that you want to configure
  2. Enter the country grouping (CtryGrp)
  3. Enter the dialog module to use for the infotype and the country grouping. The dialog module is automatically generated when you develop the infotype using the Create Infotype IMG activity.
