In this section you can make the settings for processing inbound message types for a serialization group. These settings are made in the receiving system.
You can specify the size of the IDoc packet forwarded to the application, whether the packet is transferred in parallel and what server group is used.
Example
For a serialization group containing materials and associated classifications you can specify how the message types MATMAS (material) and CLFMAS (classification) are processed.
Requirements
The serialization group and the assignment of message types to this group must be known to the receiving system.
So that the settings made here will take effect, all the message types contained in the serialization group must be set to 'background, express flag cannot override' in the Maintain partner profile.
For the message SERDAT processing in the inbound partner profiles should be set to 'immediate processing'.

Activities
- Select 'New entries'.
- For each message type in the serialization group enter the values that will be sent from the sending system to the receiving sytem:
- Serialization Group
- Logical message type
- Sending system
- Packet size: the maximum number of IDocs that can be transferred in one packet to the application.
- Parallel processing: Are the individual packets to be processed in several parallel dialog processes?
- RFC server group: application server group that is used for parallel processing.
