You can make customizing objects visible in an IMG project (projection of customizing objects), thus enabling the relationship between Customizing for applications and the synchronization requirements of customizing objects in a distributed landscape to be clearly structured.
This process involves automatically assigning keywords in an IMG project as additional information.
The function of the IMG projection for message types and distribution groups enables keywords to be automatically assigned in an IMG project.
- Message Types
The relevant customizing objects are determined by the foreign key relationships of message types and made visible in the IMG project by the assignment of keywords. - Distribution Groups
The specified keyword is assigned to all the IMG project entries that represent a customizing object belonging to the distribution group in question.
Note: The keywords are reassigned in the projection.
As existing assignments can be cancelled, only uniquely defined keywords should be used.
