After you create the class types, you define the classes in this section.

Requirements

  • The logical systems are defined.
  • The class type for distribution is maintained.

Activities

  1. Execute the function. Choose the distribution class type and enter a name for the class.
  2. On the detail screen, enter:
    • A class description
    • The class status, which shows whether a class can be managed.
    • A class group, if you want to assign the class to a specific group. You must define this group beforehand
  3. Save your settings.

Notes on the transport

Classes are not distributed using the transport system. For this reason classes must either be created on local systems or distributed as master data via ALE.
