In this step the jobs for confirming the processing status (ALE audit) are scheduled.

Requirements

The RBDSTATE program variants to be used must have been created.

Activities

  • Define a job using RBDSTATE and a variant you have created.
  • Choose the start date and time and a periodic interval hourly or daily.
    • Hourly Dispatch
      • Hourly dispatch should be used for confirming time-critical processes. Leave the selection parameter for the change date free. The program itself determines when it was run the last time, or, if it is the first run, when this was scheduled. This time (date and time) less five minutes is the left selection limit for the IDoc changes. The start time of the background job less four minutes is the right selection limit.
    • Daily Dispatch
    • Daily dispatch should be used if you want to confirm IDocs from the previous day. When you define the variants for background processing, select a date variable for the selection parameter change date. You can then freely set which days, for example, yesterday, IDoc status changes are to be confirmed.

When you schedule the background job, make sure that for sending changes from the previous day, that background processing does not start at 0:00 exactly. It should start a few minutes later.

  • Save the job.
  • Create a job For each predefined variant.

Further notes

If possible arrange for there to be a small time buffer between the end of the selection period of the variant and the time at which the job is executed. This should help prevent the queue of IDocs not yet processed from overflowing.
