Integration of ETM shipping document and MM inventory management
Here you define which shipping documents result in an MM document.
Notes
This can only happen if the reference type for warehouse/storage location (type 6) is active in ETM.
So, if the recipient or the sender is of reference type 6 in the shipping document, the system checks whether a document should be created in MM. A decisive factor here is that this is dependent on the partner recipient type.
If the sender is a warehouse/storage location and the recipient is a WBS element (refernece type = 1), settings are made here to determine which MM movement type/transaction type the stock posting in MM should take place with. Goods issue from the storage location for a WBS element is normally posted with movement type/transaction type 221 in MM. The cancellation, or in other words, the return of the materials from the WBS element to the storage location with movement type/ transaction type 222.

Further notes
ETM does not support stock movement if the stock has a special stock indicator set for it. Only the following movements are supported by ETM:
Goods issue or cancellation of document
for cost center
for WBS element
for order
As far as multipart equipment is concerned, mandatory serialization must not be set for the material assigned to the equipment because a piece of equipment can only ever be sent with a quantity of 1 in MM. In ETM this is controlled by the item/multipart equipment indicator in the equipment master record. This means that a material that has a serial number profile in the material master record (View: Sales: General/Plant Data), and for which a material serial number has been created in transaction IQ01 (and generating an equipment number via the button "Equipment view"), can be used in ETM and shipped by means of an ETM shipping document. The material and/or serial number is recorded in the equipment master (View: Ser. data). During activation the generated equipment number is saved in the transaction "Create Material Serial Number".
