Creation of the asset master record by workflow
Example
After creating the equipment master record, an asset with a specific asset class should be created for object type 1230. Here, you define the object types for which the asset class is used. Thereafter, you determine the contents of the PM orders by using the asset class, company code and plant. Activate Workflow for ETM. The PM orders are created and the relevant PM order is copied to the asset master record.
The PM orders are created in the background and the responsible person receives an executable mail in the Business Workplace. Executing the mail creates an asset master record. The fields that have been defined in the equipment master are now copied.
Requirements
- The company code and planning plant are maintained in the equipment master record.
- The triggering event J_3GEQUI CREATED is defined in event generation for status management. Events for System/User Statuses
- Event linkage for workflow WS 11100006 is activated. Activate Event Linkage
- You are allowed to run a CATT in the client.
- Customizing is defined for workflows. Customizing Workflow
- The responsible agent is assigned to workflow task TS11100011 (Create Asset from Equipment). Assign Agents
- The resonsible agent for error messages is assigned to workflow task TS11100012. Assign Agents
- The agent responsible for the task is authorized to start a CATT. This is controlled by authorization object S_DEVELOP.

Recommendation
Only activate one of the 2 worfklow templates:
- WS 11100006 CEM Workflow Create Asset from Equipment
- WS 11100005 CEM Workflow Create Equipment from Asset
Activating both creates a closed loop.
Example:
You create an equipment and trigger workflow WS 11100006. The workflow event is the creation of an asset. This starts workflow WS 11100005 ETM Workflow Create Equipment from Asset, wihch creates an equipment. Workflow WS 11100006 starts, and the loop is again at the beginning.
