In this work step you can define which views are possible for each equipment category. Each view represents specific data screens of the equipment master record.
You can activate or deactivate the following views:
- sales and distribution view
- production resources and tools view
- equipment configuration view
- ETM view
If you decide to deactivate a view, you can no longer maintain the data fields assigned to this view.
Notes
You can change the views at any time.
The flexibility of maintaining views as you wish replaces the inflexible assignment between reference equipment type and screen sequence. Please note however, that equipment reference type "P" (production resources and tools view) and "S" (sales and distribution view) have been programmed in such a way that that the these views neither need to be activated, nor can they be deactivated.
Activities
Determine the views for each equipment category by activating and deactivating the views.
Create the equipment categories you need in PM Maintain equipment category.
