Use
In this Customizing activity, you can adapt the messages to be written to the application log.
It allows you to change the type of a message or even to prevent its inclusion in the log.

Example
It could be the case that some messages in the log are helpful during the process setup, but are no longer necessary for productive usage; also the numer of messages that can be written to the log is limited to 999,999.
Therefore you can skip messages that are not necessary to reduce the number of messages in the application log.
