Use
In this IMG activity, you can define attributes for transferring tables.
You can enter dependent tables in this IMG activity. (In the example below, document header tables are dependent tables.) Select the indicator for the buffering type you want to use, either In Memory or On Database.

Example
Individual tables sometimes share dependencies. For example, the document header contains the currencies that relate to the amounts in the document items. The data of the document headers is therefore required when the document items are processed.
To make this possible, the document headers can be stored either in the main memory (In Memory indicator) or on the database (On Database indicator), so that they are available when the document items are processed.
If you do not store the document headers, then the document items are extracted to SAP NetWeaver BI without any currency for their amounts, so the amounts cannot be analyzed correctly.
If the document headers and document items are located in the same archiving object, then processing can take place using the main memory (which is faster). However, if there is not enough available memory, then the data must be stored on the database.
If data is required from a different archiving object, then you are required to store using the database.
