Use
In this Customizing activity you define admissible adapters for data replication to the connected systems and the scenarios to be used to replicate data.
Scenarios serve two purposes. They ensure on the one hand that an external change adapter (non-ERP adapter) cannot be used in a chain of adapter calls. You can also organize data replication in several external systems using various scenarios (that can use the same adapters).
A scenario can only contain one external change adapter to ensure that data remains consistent for the rollback procedure. There is no restriction regarding the number of adapters that can be used for read and internal adapters. An adapter can be used in various scenarios, but can only be found once in each scenario.
You can define a specific sequence of adapter calls within a scenario. The system executes all adapters collectively within a scenario. It executes internal adapter calls before it calls the external change adapters. A scenario can contain both change and read adapters.
You can assign scenarios to replication objects. They are used as a default scenario for the respective replication object, which is executed as standard during data replication. You can override default scenarios using a BadI-implementation. This means that different scenarios can be assigned to the same replication object.
Requirements
You have already defined adapters in Customizing under Define Adapters for Data Replication.
Standard settings
Scenarios supplied by SAP:
Scenario Description
FICA_CC FI-CA adapter and CC adapter are called
FICA Only FI-CA adapter is called
CC Only CC adapter is called
The scenario FICA_CC is supplied as the default scenario for the replication object Provider Contract. This scenario contains the adapters for contract data replication to SAP Convergent Invoicing and to SAP Convergent Charging.
Activities
- Define one or more scenarios. Define a scenario-ID and enter a description.
- Assign these pre-defined adapters to your scenario.
The system also copies default values for read and change adapters if your system settings allow this. You can also override these values in the scenario by selecting the appropriate indicator. If a scenario already contains an external change adapter and you want to assign an additional external adapter whose default values also contain this change adapter, the system overrides the corresponding default value during the transfer.
You must define a unique sequence of adapters within the scenario.
