In this IMG activity, you define reasons why a preregistration should be removed from the waiting list.

Use

The waiting list contains patients who are preregistered for a surgery or treatment or an inpatient admission appointment.

There are several reasons why you may wish to remove a patient from the waiting list. In this activity, you define a list of these reasons.

Activities

  1. You enter an institution in the Inst. field.
  2. In the field Rem.Rsn you enter a 3-digit code.
  3. In the field Description you can store text of up to 60 characters.
  4. If the surgery or treatment has been performed in an external hospital, you set the EH indicator.
  5. If the deletion indicator is set in the D field, then the data record is marked for deletion. You can no longer use the removal reason in preregistration management.

Example

The following are examples of reasons why a patient may be removed:

  • Patient has been operated on or treated
  • Patient cannot be operated on due to illness
  • Patient has been operated on in another hospital
