Use
In this IMG activity, you maintain the institution-specific, time-dependent basic parameters for DRG documentation (DRG = Diagnosis Related Group). This parameter record is necessary for each institution if you are using DRG documentation.
You can set the following parameters:
- Institution
A separate parameter record must exist for each institution.
- Valid From and Valid To
Validity period of the parameter record. The system uses the date at which the case is admitted to create a unique assignment of the case to a period for which a parameter record is valid. Overlapping periods are not allowed in any one institution.
You can also define the discharge date as the criterion for the validity period instead of the admission date in the Customizing activity Specify Discharge Date as Reference for Catalog Determination. This Customizing activity is only relevant for the country versions Italy and Singapore.
- DRG System
The DRG system determines basic properties and regulations for a DRG method that are often country-specific.
- DRG Catalog
DRG catalog valid per institution and period
- MDC Catalog (MDC = Major Diagnostic Categories)
MDC catalog valid per institution and period
- DRG Group. Ctrl. (DRG grouper control)
DRG grouper control valid per institution and period. You can specify a DRG grouper control of your choice, with the single condition that it acts as the unique reference to DRG Grouper Assignments. The DRG grouper control is connected with the IMG activities for connecting a DRG grouper in the Section DRG Data Exchange of the IS-H Implementation Guide:
- Asgmt Type (assignment type for DRG codes)
Assignment type valid per institution and period that is required to assign a DRG code from the DRG catalog to a corresponding service in the in-house service catalog.
