In this IMG activity, you can view the settings relative to characteristic and key figure determination for data transfer from the IS-H System into the Executive Information System (EC-EIS).
Requirements in EC-EIS
Before you can transfer data from the IS-H System into EC-EIS, you must perform the preliminary activities relating to EC-EIS settings. For more information about this, refer to Make Settings in EC-EIS.
Standard settings
Structure RNEIS is delivered with the standard IS-H System. The assignment of characteristics and key figures to corresponding function modules and a number of further specifications are preset in IS-H Customizing.
Recommendation
To make sure that data is correctly transferred from IS-H into EC-EIS, you must not modify or delete these defaults. However, in the future, you will be able to replace or enhance individual function modules to satisfy the requirements of country-specific versions.
Further notes
Note that there are a number of entries for characteristics and key figures that can be determined in relation to organizational units or movements. This distinction is required for services that were assigned to an organizational unit rather than to a case. The Movement-related indicator is set for all assignments of key figures and characteristics to function modules accordingly. Moreover, the function modules with organizational reference are denoted by the suffix _OE.
The sequence number is relevant for the processing sequence. Depending on the use of the associated character or key figure, the function modules are called in the order specified to collect data from the IS-H System and prepare it for transfer to EC-EIS. For reasons of performance, this processing sequence is preset by SAP. In normal use you should not modify the sequence number. However, the sequence can be modified for individual projects or country version, or may be altered by SAP in future Releases. The sequence number of corresponding organizational-related and movement-related function modules is usually identical.
