Use
This Business Add-In (BAdI) lets you check whether a surgical procedure (SP) code contains the duration of mechanical ventilation.
The check makes use of the following data:
- SP code
- SP catalog
- Institution
The BAdI is called in the Coding Analyses view type in the Clinical Work Station. The result of this check determines whether the mechanical ventilation duration is missing for a case for which a mechanical ventilation procedure is entered or whether the mechanical ventilation procedure is missing for a case for which the mechanical ventilation duration is entered.
In the Coding Analyses view type you can select all cases without the SP code for specified mechanical ventilation duration or without the mechanical ventilation duration for a specified SP code that exist in the system.
Requirements
The implementation of the check is based on the German OPS-301 Version 2.1 - International Classification of Procedures in Medicine (ICPM) -.
Standard settings
Activities
By default, the system checks whether the SP code has a permitted value between 8-718 and 8-718.Y. This corresponds to the duration of mechanical ventilation.
You can adjust this check to satisfy your own individual requirements. If you need different checks, you have to write your own source code.
The BAdI does not have a default implementation and, as such, is active as standard.
