Use

This Business Add-In (BAdI) lets you check the external patient identification (NPAT-EXTNR), and, if necessary, return an error message via an error table. This BAdI does not let you change patient data.

The BAdI is called in all transactions in which patient data can be maintained.

The following data can be checked:

  • Patient data (NPAT data record)
  • Institution
  • External patient identification

Example code for checking the RAMQ number is contained in the country version Canada (you'll find the description directly in the example code).

Example

If you have implemented this BAdI, it is possible to execute customer-defined checks. In Quebec, for example, you can run a check on the RAMQ number entered in the external patient identification field in relation to the patient data.
