In this IMG activity, you define the functions a person (e.g. physician) can assume when assigned to a service.

Activities

  1. Specify an institution in the Inst. field.
  2. Specify the key for the function of the service-to-business partner assignment in the Function field.
  3. Now assign this function to an internally defined function (Category). You can display the possible values from the value help.

    You can assign several external functions to an internal function.

  4. Enter the descriptive text for the function in the Description field. It should have a logical connection with the internal function.

Several business partners assuming different functions can be involved in performing a service.

Recommendation

You should assign an external function to at least the preset internal functions 1 - 5.

Further notes Country Version Switzerland

The country version Switzerland contains the extra internal function 6 - Fee Physician for physicians authorized to bill for their fees. Only physicians that have a function with internal function "6" are transferred as fee physicians into fee billing. Only one physician with internal function "6" can exist per service. At present, the other functions have no special function.
