You use the Mean Time Between Events (MTBE) extractor to determine the MTBUR, MTBSR, MTBR and MTBF values (operation hours, operation cycles or landing cycles) for the given material or a range of materials.
Mean Time Between Events (MTBE) is calculated from a history time series mapped in the system. The extracted MTBE parameters are averaged values which relate to several events for one equipment (individual part) and to several parts of one material.
In this activity, you specify which characteristics are to be considered for operation hours, operation cycles, and landing cycles.
Example
Requirements
The system requires settings to read the notifications which are relevant for the MTBE extractor.
A notification reports the problem (unscheduled or scheduled removal) and the cause (for example, a failure leads to the removal) for the removal.
You determine the required notifications in the Customizing for the Plant Maintenance and Customer Service under Maintenance and Service Processing -> Notifications -> Properties of Notifications for Installation and Removal of Parts.
