In this activity, you configure profiles with default values for the Component Maintenance Cockpit (CMC). You can define a generic profile or profiles for individual work centers or users, containing default display and calculation parameters, rotable control modes, as well as advanced settings covering aspects such as authority checks and so on.
A SAP standard profile (SAP_01) is already provided, however you can also determine your own profiles.
Current Settings: Enter Specific Class for CMC Profile
SAP has provided a class as a default value for use in the CMC profile. However, if you want to use a different Class to the one supplied by SAP, you have to do this in your productive system, because the required data is only available there. For this reason, this Customizing activity has been flagged with the Current setting indicator to allow users to access it from the SAP Easy Access menu under Plant Maintenance or Customer Service (Maintenance Processing or Service Processing -> Rotables Management -> Component Maintenance Cockpit -> Current Settings).
Note that this is only intended to enter a Class different to that provided by SAP, although all parts of the functionality can also be changed. For this reason, only selected users should have the necessary authorization to perform this function.

Standard settings
Recommendation
SAP_01 is a standard SAP profile, which can be also read by all other applications. For this reason, the settings in the screen area General Rotable Control for this profile must be correct. Therefore, we recommend that you do not change these settings.
SAP_01 should not be deleted. If you require different profile settings, create new profiles.
Activities
- Create a new profile by choosing a new entry or copying an existing one.
- Select the new profile and choose Details.
- Determine the parameter values.
- Save the profile.
