In this activity, you set up inventory groups classifying the condition of rotable parts, and assign storage locations to these groups.
This activity is optional.
For identification purposes you can hold storage locations or valuation types in inventory groups according to the condition of the rotable parts (such as, a serviceable or an unserviceable group, and so on). The Component Maintenance Cockpit (CMC) uses the parameters that you define for these groups when calculating the range of coverage (ROC), unless you have created more precise parameters on FFF class or profile level.

Your storage locations and valuation types are split according to the condition of rotable parts.
Standard settings
Recommendation
If you use batches to determine the rotable condition, you do not need to set up rotable inventory groups.
Activities
- Create a new group by choosing a new entry or copying an existing one.
- Enter the parameter values.
- Select the new group and choose Maintain Inventory Structure in the Dialog Structure on the left of the screen.
- Enter the storage locations to be assigned to the new group. (Note that a storage location may only be assigned to one group.)
- Save the group.
