Use
If billed values and quantities from Sales and Distribution (SD) product sales are to be used as the basis for calculating outgoing royalties in Intellectual Property Management (IPM), you must make the following settings:
To determine the Intellectual Property (IP), you must integrate subscreen 2014 of function group MGD1 with the maintenance transaction for the material master. The system determines the IP for the billing item from the IP recorded in the material for the billing item.
To determine the following data, you must make the corresponding Customizing settings or perform the relevant Business Add-In (BAdI) implementation:
Attributes for the royalties key
To determine the attributes, the following options are available to you: You can define the rules for determining attribute values in the Customizing activity Define Attribute Mapping. Alternatively, you can define rules in an implementation of the BAdI IPM_MAP_RIGHTS_ATTRIBUTES If you have not defined the rule for an attribute in the Define Attribute Mapping Customizing activity, the system accesses the Business Add-In.
A value or quantity with a currency and unit of measure for each billing item and data value
To determine values and quantities, create an implementation for the Business Add-In IPM_ENHANCE_RAW_RECORD
During saving following creation, change or deletion of a billing document, output control triggers timely transfer of billing documents to the outgoing royalties (OR) data collector.
The standard system shipped contains the message type IPMOSAP that you use to control the OR data collector. To activate the OR data collector, you must create an output condition record for each billing type for which data is to be transferred to IPM. Do not create message condition records for billing types that are not to be transferred to IPM. Do not create output condition records for invoice lists, since these are not usually included in the royalties calculation.
To transfer the data from the OR data collector to the settlement data collector in IPM, access initial data transfer for the business object IPMBEAPRDSLS.
