Use
To update sales from Sales and Distribution (SD) to the settlement data collector in Intellectual Property Management, (IPM), you must update both the Intellectual Property (IP) and other information from the business transactions. You can use this tool to define which attributes are to be updated for each business transaction.
To update product sales data to the settlement data collector, you must determine the IP and the attributes of the royalties key for the SD business transaction. You can use the attribute mapping function described here to determine the attributes of the royalties key.
The attributes defined in attribute mapping must match the attributes of the royalties key in IPM. Make sure that the sequence is the same.
There must be a value table for each attribute. Value tables are delivered (in CRM and ERP) for the attributes and rights dimensions Region, Market and Language. If your royalties key contains additional attributes, you must first create value tables with the same structure as the corresponding value table in IPM for these attributes.
Activities
- Define up to 6 attributes and assign each of them a value table containing all of the admissible values for the attribute.
- Define the relevant field (for example, in the SD document) from which the value of the attribute is to be read for one or more transactions in the ERP System.
- Define how the value of the attribute is to be determined from the value in the source field. To do this, define the corresponding attribute value for each combination of source field and attribute and for every possible source field value.
Example
Updating SD Product Sales to the IPM Settlement Data Collector
The royalties key contains the attribute Territory.
The attribute for the transaction SD Billing is to be determined from the material master field LAND1 in the billing document header.
In a first step, you define the three attributes and select the Royalties key indicator for each of them:
Attribute Value Table
1 CRMM_IPM_TRRCO
In a second step, you define the source field for each attribute for the transaction:
Attribute Transaction Source table Source Field
1 (Territory) VBRK VBRK LAND1
In a final step, you must define the value mapping:
Attribute Source Table Source Field Source Value Target Value
1 (Territory) VBRK LAND1 DE GERMAN
1 (Territory) VBRK LAND1 FR FRANCE
1 (Territory) VBRK LAND1 GB UNITED
