Requirements
In Customizing you have to define the:
Recommendation
Ask your data provider which index types he or she uses. You need this information to create the conversion code tables for index types individually.
Activities
Assign the name used by the data provider to each index type in the SAP system. Make sure you get a 1 : 1 match for the names. There is no code conversion for this name unless you enter the relevant external name for an index type used in the SAP system.
Further notes
Using the IMG activity Create tables for code conversion you can automatically fill the conversion code table for index types with the index types used in the SAP system.
