Use
In this Customizing activity, you define the name of a function module that you have programmed yourself for an event predefined by SAP.
You can use the function module to intervene in the flow of the standard programs and to include your own processing. Function modules are run when the event is reached in the program.

Standard settings
Activities
- Perform the activity to obtain an overview of the possible events. The form in which standard processing can be interrupted is specified for each event (see the Additional Function field).
You can find the description for an event in the documentation for the respective sample function module. Select the required event, and select Display Function Module.
You can determine the points in the program in which the event is triggered using the where-used list for the sample function module.
- To determine which standard function modules are delivered for an event, select the event and choose Standard Function Modules. The list of standard function modules also specifies whether customer function modules are permitted (see the field No Customer Modules).
- Decide on the events for which you need your own function modules.
- Program the required function modules. To do this, copy the sample function module into a separate function module group.
- In this activity, define the names of your function modules for each event. To do this, select the required event and choose Installation-Specific Function Modules.
- When you create a new report as described in Report Identification and Versioning, the new report automatically appears in the Management of Events transaction (that is, this activity), on the left side of the screen.
The new reports have no event assignments. If you want to copy the event settings of a previous report, choose Copy from Report and enter the report group, ID, and version in the dialog box that appears. When you choose Continue, the system copies the active status of both the SAP Implemented Function Module and the Customer Function Module in the Customizing table of the new report. This way report can use exactly the same events with the same function module statuses as the source report.
