In this step, you define the number ranges for securities posting documents. These are used to document all postings made from the securities subledger to the FI general ledger. One securities posting document refers to exactly one FI document.
For each company code and each fiscal year for which you wish to make postings, you define an entry for number range interval '01' with internal number assignment. The system then takes a unique number from this range for one securities posting document.
Example
In company code 0001, create the following entries for fiscal years 1997 and 1998:
