Use

In this IMG activity, you define the applications that are displayed for the Project Self-Service role under Reports.

You can create applications for the following objects:

  • Project definition from cProjects (PLM-CPR) with integrated accounting
  • Project definition from cProjects (PLM-CPR) without integrated accounting
  • Project definition from the project system (PS)
  • WBS element
  • Internal order

Requirements

To use the Project Self-Service role, the following systems are also required:

  • cProjects 4.00
    • The RFC destination used for the cProjects system is the setting in Customizing for the Project Self-Service role.
    • The system that cProjects uses for integrating accounting must be the same as the ERP system that the role uses as a backend system.
  • SAP Enterprise Portal (SAP NetWeaver 2004S)
  • SAP BW (SAP NetWeaver 2004S)
  • Activation of Enterprise add-ons EA_PLM and EA_FIN from SAP Enterprise Extension

If your system administrator wants to define default settings for worklists, you must have maintained one of the following personalization dialogs in Customizing for Personalization:

  • Personalization Data Collective Processing

    For the Project Self-Service role, the following personalization dialog is relevant: DIA_PSS_SNI_PD (projects).

  • Personalization Data Single Processing

    For the Project Self-Service role, the following personalization dialog is relevant: DIA_PSS_SNI_PD (projects).

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Select an object node. When you do this, other pushbuttons are displayed.
  2. You can assign all applications directly to the object node. In addition, you can group the launchpad by creating new folders. The folders are used in the portal as headers for the links to the applications.

    Choose New Folder. Enter a text for the new folder, and choose Enter. The folder is added below the selected node.

  3. To create applications, select the object node or the folder to which you want to assign the applications, and choose New Application.

  1. Enter the required data.
  2. Select the application category. Depending on your selection additional input fields are displayed, which you can use to specify or select the parameters of the application.
  3. If you want to enter a description that is displayed in the portal under the link but is to be longer than 255 characters, choose Editor for Description to the right of the field Descript..
  4. Enter the System Alias (except for URL).

The inactive applications folder is used for collecting the applications that are available in the portal, but that you do not want to display. These applications are displayed in the portal in a table that the user can view when he or she changes the launchpad settings.
