Use

In this IMG activity, you manage transport requests that store master data to be distributed from the system in which you use Financial Master Data Management (FIN-MDM) to the systems for General Ledger Accounting.

When importing the master data into the systems for General Ledger Accounting, the system checks whether the Automatic Recording of Changes is activated for this master data. If this is the case, the system saves the changes in the transport requests that you have entered in this IMG activity. If the automatic recording of changes is activated but the system cannot determine a transport request, the distribution of master data is terminated.

You can either automatically create the required transport requests in the systems for General Ledger Accounting or enter transport requests directly that can be used for the distribution of master data.

Requirements

If you want to enter the transport requests directly for master data distribution, you need to have generated them first in transaction SE09.

Standard settings

Activities

  1. To enter a transport request for the inbound services in General Ledger Accounting, proceed as follows:
    1. Choose the application FINMDM_DATA_REPLICATION.
    2. Create a new entry for the service group REPORTING_STRUC_REPLICATION.
  2. If a new transport request is to be generated automatically during import, proceed as follows:
    1. Choose Automatic.
    2. Enter the user for whom the request is to be created as the administrator.
      3. This user is responsible for making sure that the request is released and transported into other systems of the transport landscape.
    3. Enter a name for the request.
  3. If you want to enter a transport request directly, enter it under Requests of a Service Group.

    The system uses the first request that has not yet been released in this list.
