Use

In this Customizing activity, you define all generation servers to start the work process.

Requirements

You have specified Background Generation as the generation server usage under WWI and EH&S Expert Server Administration. The system then transfers the specified RFC destination of the generation server and the specified WWI root directory to this Customizing activity.

Standard settings

Activities

Enter the following data:

  • WWISV: Enter a key for a generation server.

    Caution: The key must not contain the character _ (underscore) because it is used by the work process to separate the client and the generation server from the input parameter.

  • Description: Enter any description.
  • Destination: Enter the key that you defined in the Customizing activity Set Up RFC Destination.
  • WWI root: Specify the path of the directory that you entered for the generation server on the generation PC (see Install Generation Server on Generation PC).

    Example: C:\SAPGUI\WWI\SERVER_EHS_001_1

  • WWI active: Set the indicator if the generation server is to process generation jobs.
  • Repeat the process for all generation servers in the SAP system you are using.
