Note

If you are using version 2007/12.0 or higher of Microsoft Excel, the specification data is output to an Excel table using the Desktop Office Integration. The Excel template is stored as a business document in the system.

This means you are no longer required to execute this Customizing activity.

For more information, see SAP Notes 1169035 and 1223805.

Use

In this Customizing activity, you load an Excel file into the document management system (DMS) for output with Microsoft Excel in the specification information system. The *.XLS file is delivered together with Windows Wordprocessor Integration (WWI) and contains a macro for processing data.

The following versions of Microsoft Excel are supported:

  • Excel 97/8.0
  • Excel 2000/9.0
  • Excel XP/10.0
  • Excel 2003/11.0

Requirements

You have installed the current version of WWI.

Activities

Execute the Customizing activity once for each client:

  1. Call the Customizing activity.
  2. Check whether the path for the SUBINFO.XLS file is correct.
  3. Check whether the data carrier was specified for the EH&S document type ISX (Excel macro specification information system) in the Customizing activity Assign EH&S Document Types to DMS Document Types.
  4. Choose Program -> Execute.

The macro for the Excel file is loaded into the DMS and you can use it for the specification information system.

In addition, the SAP system enters the corresponding file key in the environment parameter SIS_VALUAT_XLSFILE_DVSKEY. You can check this entry in Customizing under Specify Environment Parameters.

Further notes

For more information, see the documentation for program RC1HOXLS.
