From the screens for displaying and editing value assignment types in EH&S, you can convert numerical characteristic values with a unit of measurement to other units of measurement within the same dimension. If you choose Extras -> Convert unit of measurement, a dialog box appears in which you can enter the units of measurement to which you want to convert. If you convert frequently to the same units of measurement, you can specify a unit of measurement profile in your user parameters. Units of measurement are then proposed to you from this profile so that you do not need to enter them each time you call the dialog box.
In this IMG activity you specify unit of measurement profiles.
Notes:
- The calculated values are for information purposes only and are not entered as characteristic values.
- You specify a unit of measurement profile in your user parameters by choosing System -> User profile -> Own data and entering the unit of measurement profile under the parameter ESUNITPROF on the Parameters tab.
Example
If you use metric units of measurement in the value assignments, you can specify a unit of measurement profile with non-metric units of measurement for users from countries in which non-metric units are used.
Requirements
In the IMG activity Check Units of Measurement you have specified the required units of measurement.
