Use
Sources behave as master data. They specify actual source from which the data is taken.
Example
You can make the following entries for sources:
- Source description
- Author
- Source note
- Source category
- Date of publication
- Order number
Requirements
You must be authorized to create sources.
Recommendation
If you set up the specification database manually, we recommend that you specify the sources with their respective specialist groups.
Activities
Enter the sources and assign a specification category to each source. You can assign the source key as required.
Further notes
You can create new sources at any time, even in a productive system, from the EH&S menu by choosing Basic Data and Tools -> Tools -> Current Settings -> Specify Sources.
You can also transfer sources when transferring data from existing systems.
