Use

In this IMG activity, you set up jobs for report shipping that start shipping and process shipping orders.

  1. Jobs to start report shipping

    Report shipping is started with the programs RCVDDISP and RCVDRFSH.

    The program RCVDDISP performs the following steps:

    • It executes the user exits that you have defined for the automatic generation of subsequent shipping orders and export orders in Customizing for Basic Data and Tools in the IMG activity Manage User Exits.
    • Note: The user exit for saving is called by the program RCVDRFSH.
    • It starts the job asynchronously for program RCVDEVEN (actual report shipping).
    • It deletes the job logs for the job for program RCVDDISP.
    • It schedules the job REPORT_SHIPP_CLAEN_UP for the program RCVDRFSH and starts it.

      Note: Program RCVDDISP starts all report shipping orders that were created with the process type background processing.

      The program RCVDRFSH performs the following steps:

    • It starts the job asynchronously for program RCVDEVEN for executing the Save user exit within report shipping.
    • It deletes the rejected report shipping orders that are no longer required.
    • It physically deletes the report shipping orders for which the deletion indicator is set.
    • It physically deletes the final reports that are no longer required.
    • It deletes the job logs for program RCVDRFSH.
    • It deletes the job logs for program RCVDEVEN.
  2. Job for processing shipping orders

    Report RCVDEVEN processes shipping orders generated manually or automatically. For standard report shipping, for example, report RCVDEVEN calls the following user exits of the category SRE_DIST in sequence:

    • Checking the shipping order
    • Bundling the shipping order
    • Generating the shipping order
    • Packing the shipping order
    • Sending the shipping order
    • Saving the shipping order

  1. Job for resuming processing of the report shipping order

    If a released report body does not exist for a report shipping order at the time of shipping, the report shipping order is assigned the status Error. You can use Report RCVD_RESTART_RS to continue or restart processing of report shipping orders with an error status. If report bodies have since been released for these report shipping orders, the final report can be generated automatically as soon as the report has been executed successfully. Activities

  1. Starting report shipping
    1. On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose System -> Services -> Jobs -> Define Job.
    2. Enter a job name and choose a suitable job class.
    3. Choose Edit -> Start Time and choose Date/Time in the dialog box that appears.
    4. Enter the required data and select Execute Job Periodically.
    5. Choose Check and save your entries.
    6. Choose Steps and choose ABAP program in the Create Step 1 dialog box that appears.
    7. Enter RCVDDISP as the name of the ABAP program.
    8. Choose Check and save your entries.
      9. Before you leave the Define Job screen, you must save your entries once more.
  2. Processing the orders
    1. On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose System -> Services -> Jobs -> Define Job.
    2. Enter a job name and choose a suitable job class.
    3. Choose Edit -> Start Time and choose After Event in the dialog box that appears.
    4. Enter SAP_START_EHS_RDO_EVENTHANDLER as the event and select Execute Job Periodically.
    5. Choose Check and save your entries.
    6. Choose Steps and choose ABAP program in the Create Step 1 dialog box that appears.
    7. Enter RCVDEVEN as the name of the ABAP program.
    8. Choose Check and save your entries.
      9. Before you leave the Define Job screen, you must save your entries once more.

Further notes

To improve the performance of report shipping, you can switch off the flow trace using the environment parameter SRE_DS_TRACE_LEVEL. For more information, see the IMG activity Specify Environment Parameters.
