Use
In this Customizing activity, you define the available outbound implementations and their attributes.
Requirements
- If you want to use enterprise services, you have defined a service operation to be used with this outbound implementation, and you assigned a business object to the service operation.
- You have defined an outbound parameter to be used with this outbound implementation.
- You have programmed the outbound implementation via an outbound implementation class.
- If required, you have defined a filter object with filters.
Standard settings
The standard system includes entries for outbound implementations that you can use directly. The technical key for these outbound implementations is numeric.
You also have the option of defining your own outbound implementations, if you have programmed these via an appropriate class. The customer namespace Y* to Z* is reserved for this purpose.
Activities
- Define a outbound implementation in the appropriate customer namespace and then enter a text with a description of the outbound implementation.
- Specify a communication channel.
If the communication channel is via services, assign the required service operation and the implementing class to the outbound implementation. The system automatically fills the Business Object field in such a case.
If the communication channel is not via services, specify a business object.
- You can override the default filter object for a business object by specifying a Filter Object at outbound implementation level. Note that you can only have one filter object for the same business object within a replication model. Otherwise your replication model will fail validation.
- If required, assign segment filter objects to your outbound implementation. In addition to the filter objects that are already assigned to the business object used in the outbound implementation, you can assign filter objects to an outbound implementation to check relevance of and filter the data based on a business object node.
- Assign one or more filter objects to the outbound implementation and if appropriate, specify when the filter objects are to be executed.
- Assign outbound parameters.
- If necessary, assign an entity type and mapping to your outbound implementation.
