Use
In this IMG activity, you specify for a controlling scenario which costing variant is to be used for the Ad hoc cost estimate for cProjects and which costing model is to be assigned as the planning form for additional costing items.

Requirements
- You created a costing variant under Controlling -> Product Cost Controlling -> Product Cost Planning-> Ad Hoc Cost Estimate -> Define Costing Variants.
Recommendation
SAP recommends that you create your own costing variant for the ad hoc cost estimate for cProjects.
- You created a costing model from the SAP Easy Access menu under Accounting -> Controlling -> Product Cost Controlling -> Product Cost Planning-> Easy Cost Planning & Execution Services -> Edit Costing Model (CKCM).
Standard settings
Activities
You have to assign a costing variant to each controlling scenario in which you want to carry out costing for projects before transfer or simulation.
Caution:
When you assign a costing model, the assignments from the entire row, that is, also those of the costing variant for the controlling scenario, only apply to the controlling area for which the assigned costing model is valid. Therefore, add an additional row for the same controlling scenario and the same costing variant without a costing model to specify this assignment for all other controlling areas.
