In this activity you can change the message type suggested by the system for certain messages. By doing so, you influence whether the messages appear in the log, and in which form.

Note that you do not correct the cause of an error message by preventing the system from issuing it. If you issue the message Specify an activity type for the cost/revenue rate &1 as a warning, or if you tell the system not to issue it at all, the system does not determine planned costs for roles and internal resources, to which the affected cost/revenue rate is assigned, despite this.
Example
You use cProjects for development projects and want to calculate costs, but not revenues. For this reason you did not maintain revenue types in the activity Assign Cost Elements and Activity Types. When you carry out costing, the system issues the error message Enter a revenue element for the cost/revenue rate &1 . You can maintain the message type and prevent the system from issuing this message.
