Use
In this IMG activity you define conversion rules for the commodity pricing engine (CPE).
These conversion rules can be assigned to conversion places of a formula. When the formula is evaluated, the rules are used at this conversion place.
A conversion rule consists of a conversion routine, an exchange rate type, an indicator for the use of currency rate averaging, a quantity conversion rule, and a rounding rule. The rounding rule is used at the end of the conversion.
Requirements
CPE conversion routines, exchange rate types, CPE quantity conversion rules, and CPE rounding rules must first be defined.
The following namespaces are valid for the routines:
0000000 - 0009999: General CPE routines from SAP
0010000 - 0019999: Industry-specific routines from SAP
0020000 - 0029999: Routines from SAP partners
0030000 - 0099999: Customer-specific routines
0100000 - 9999999: not used yet
The following namespaces are valid for the rules:
00000 - 0ZZZZ: General CPE rules from SAP
10000 - 8ZZZZ: Industry-specific rules from SAP
90000 - 9ZZZZ: Rules from SAP partners
A0000 - ZZZZZ: Customer-specific rules
Standard settings
Rules for formulas can be defined on term and formula level. During the term evaluation, a rule defined on formula level is used only when there is no rule defined on term level.
At conversion places that have no conversion rule assigned, the evaluation uses quantity conversion from the material master, the daily exchange rate type 'M', and does not perform rounding.
