Use
In this activity, you can maintain profiles for alternative IDs.
In the Profiles step, you can specify the name and description of the profile. You can also specify whether the search for products using alternative IDs should be stopped after the first alternative ID type in the profile for which a hit(s) is found (Stop Search After First Hit).
In the detailed view (Order of ID Types), you can specify which ID types are used and in what order when searching with an ID profile. These can be ID types delivered by SAP or customer-defined ID types.
Alternative ID profiles can then be assigned as follows:
- To product types (see Assign ID Profile to Product Type)
- To object families (see Assign ID Profile to Object Family)
Specifics in CRM
In CRM, alternative ID profiles can also be assigned as follows:
- In Customizing for transaction types (in a CRM System, choose Customer Relationship Management -> Transactions -> Basic Settings -> Define Transaction Types)
When an alternative ID profile has been assigned to the relevant transaction type, alternative IDs can be used to search for products in the sales order.
- In Customizing for partner/product ranges (in a CRM System, choose Customer Relationship Management -> Master Data -> Partner/Product Range -> Define Partner/Product Range Types)
