Activities
For each product type, check the following entries and, if necessary, change appropriately:
- Reference product type
This allows you to use the number range object of another product type for number assignment (field Reference product type). This means that more than one product type can use the same number range interval. To do this, however, the product type and the reference product type must have been assigned the same product category for the application Product (see Customizing activity Assign Category Hierarchies to Applications).
- External number assignment
This allows you to select the way in which checks should be performed when numbers are assigned externally (field External number assignment check).
- Internal number assignment
You can specify the number of times the system should attempt to find a free number when a number is assigned internally (field Number of attempts to find number for internal number assignment).
Further notes
You can define and assign number range intervals using the IMG activities for defining number ranges.
