Use

In this IMG activity, you learn which settings you must make in order to be able to carry out a full-text search for shift notes. The system uses TREX as the search engine for shift notes.

For more information on TREX, refer to the SAP Library under SAP NetWeaver Library --> SAP NetWeaver by Key Capability --> Information Integration: Key Areas --> Search and Classification TREX --> TREX 7.0 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0.

Requirements

You have made the system settings for the search engine service.

Standard settings

Activities

  1. You create the index for the shift notes in the transaction SES_ADMIN by choosing Index --> Create/Activate Indexes from the menu.

    A dialog box appears.

  2. In the dialog box, choose COCF_SN and, as object type, the value 1.

    A line for COCF_SN appears in the ALV list Index Monitor.

  3. Choose the business object COCF_SN from the list and then choose the function key Index Immediately.

    A dialog box appears, in which you choose the indexing mode Full. The system immediately creates a full-text index.

  4. In transaction SE38, create a variant for the program COM_SE_DISPATCHER. In the variant, specify COCF_SN as the business object and the value 1 as the object type. In addition, choose the following settings:
    • Select delta indexing
    • Set Object Indexing indicator
    • Do not set Relationship Indexing indicator
  5. In order that the index is always up to date, you must schedule the variant of the program COM_SE_DISPATCHER as a regular job.
