You can use the default content server when you check in a document. To use the most conveniently located content server instead of the default, you need to explicitly set this in the system.

Locations here denote the areas or locations where you are. For example, the location Japan can be defined as the location of a user in Japan. Therefore, it makes sense to use a content server in Japan instead of the default content server, which could be in America, for example.

Every author assigns him or herself a location with his or her user parameters (parameter LCA, Value: <Location>).

Activities

  1. Execute the activity.

    An overview of all the locations that are defined is displayed.

  2. You now have the following options:
    • You can go to the detailed display.
    • You can change existing entries.
    • You can add new entries.
    • Define the name of a location and a short description.
    • You can copy and change existing entries.
    • You can delete existing entries.
    • You can revoke your changes.

      Choose the corresponding symbol to perform the required action.

  3. Save your entries.

Further notes

If you do not define a location, the default content server is used when you check in your documents.

You can change the default content server, if required (see also Changing the Default Category).
