This component is a customizable tab-strip subscreen, which you can place into any of the seven subscreen areas in the Front Office screen. The component container itself can hold up to five components, making it possible to have a larger number of components in the framework.
Creating a Component Container configuration
Each line in the table view maintenance corresponds to a single tab of the Component Container. These lines are grouped together by the container profile value. For example, if three lines have the container profile value TEST, there is one Component Container configuration that specifies three tabs (and three components contained within). You must order the components inside the Component Container; the leftmost tabstrip is tab 1. There are a maximum of five tabs you can configure. If you do not configure a tab, it is hidden from view. So in the example above, with container profile value TEST and tab numbers 1 through 3, the fourth and fifth tabstrips are hidden.
For each line (tab), you may specify an icon to be displayed to the left of the tab text. This is set in the Icon Name field. Likewise, you may specify text, which is always visible on the tab. This is set in the Tabstrip Label field. You may specify Quick Info for the tabstrip; this is set in the Quick Info field.
The most important feature in the Component Container is specifying which components are assigned to each tab. This is set in the Component ID field. Use F4 help to select the component you want to assign. Only visible components can be chosen.
Currently, the delivered components are not re-entrant, nor is the framework. You may not specify a component in the main framework and in the Component Container (or specify the same component twice in either the main framework or the Component Container).
Finally, the Variant field is the variant of the component you just selected. If the component you selected does not support variants, leave this field blank. Unless you specifically know a component has a variant and you want to use it, leave this field blank.
