Use
In this activity, you define the types for your address lists.
The values that you define here are available in the input for the Type field. For each defined type you can use the Rented indicator to determine whether this type displays a rented list.
Requirements
If you also use External List Management in SAP CRM, pay particular attention to the following notes:
- If you import SAP BW Address Lists that you want to later transfer with the help of the Segment Builder into the CRM system, you have to ensure that the Customizing for the list types is identical in both systems (BW and CRM).
- With the transfer of address lists into the CRM system, only the technical key is transferred for the list type. So that this list type has the same semantics in CRM, it has to be identically identified in BW and CRM (see example).

If an address list of type 03 is transferred here from BW into CRM, this list in CRM cannot be saved, because the list type 03 is not recognized.
If an address list of type 01 is transferred to CRM, this list receives type 01 in CRM. However, this type has set the Rented indicator, which means that the business partners in CRM are created as rented business partners.
