Use
This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Business Context Viewer (CA-EPT-BCV) component.
You can use this BAdI during query processing to influence the generation of search requests:
- You can set or modify values of the query input fields (BAdI method FILL_VARIABLES).
- You can transform field values during the evaluation of join criteria (BAdI method TRANSFORM_JOIN_FIELD_VALUE).
Requirements
Standard settings
In the standard system, there is no activated BAdI implementation.
The BAdI is designed for multiple use.
The BAdI is filter-dependent. It uses a character-type filter APPLICATION that represents the application whose context BCV is running in.

Example
You can use this BAdI for the following purposes, for example:
- To automatically set input field SALESORG of a sales order query to the sales organization the current user is responsible for.
- In join scenarios to transform the value of field MATERIAL from the format used in the first search connector to the format used in the second search connector.
