Use
This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Sales Order component (SD-SLS-SO). You can use the BAdI to change the item category of a sales order.
This BAdI is optional.
Requirements
In Customizing for Sales and Distribution under Sales -> Sales Documents in the Customizing sections Sales Document Item and Schedule Lines, you have made the relevant settings for the Customizing activities for the item category and the schedule line category; see the documentation on the Customizing indicator External Capacity Planning (Customizing activity Define Schedule Line Categories).
Standard settings
In the standard system, there is no activated BAdI implementation.
The BAdI is designed for multiple use. All activated implementations are called and executed.
The BAdI is not filter-dependent.

Activities
Create a BAdI implementation for BAdI BADI_SLS_ITEM_DIRECT_SHIPMENT1 of enhancement spot BADI_SD_SALES_ITEM.

Further notes
This BAdI uses the interface IF_EX_SLS_ITM_DIRECT_SHIPMENT1. For more information, display the interface in the Class Builder.
When you create new sales order items, the DRS_CHECK method (Check Sales Order for Planning-Relevant Third-Party Item) of the interface is called.
