Use

The release type determines the tool that is used from a logical service for releasing a settlement schedule item.

In this IMG activity, you define release types and assign the following:

  • Date Change indicator
    Possible settings:
    • Indicator is set: Enables you to bring forward the due date in case all the disbursement requirements have been met for a future settlement item.
    • Indicator is not set: The due date of a commission payment cannot be changed.
  • Synchronization Type
    Determines the time by which the system is to determine whether the requirements for disbursement of a settlement item have been met. There are two different types:
    • Synchronous: The system checks during the commission case process whether the disbursement requirements have been met.
    • Asynchronous: Settlement schedule items are generated during the commission case process, but the system does not check whether the disbursement requirements have been met.
  • Tool assignment

Requirements

If you are not using the standard tool PAYMENTRELEASE_STANDARD for payment release or PAYMENTRELEASE_CREDENTIAL for credentialing, you must first define your own tool.
