In this IMG activity, you decide whether you want to activate a two-level determination of the tax determination code in your system. If this is the case, the additional Tax Determination Procedure field is shown in the contract account. In this field you define whether the contract account is for cash accounting or bill accounting.

The following special features apply to the new tax determination procedure:

  • Cash Accounting - the tax is determined at the point of invoicing, based on the tax date type. If the tax has changed in the billing period, the amounts and consumption values are not prorated.
  • Bill Accounting - the tax is determined at the point of billing. If the tax has changed in the billing period, amounts and consumption values are prorated.
