In this IMG activity you define period control. You make the period control entry in the rate at the rate steps level.

The following procedures are supported:

  • Time portions calculation to the day
  • Month-based calculation of time portions, using a key date
  • Month-based calculation of time portions, using an interval

You specify the key date for billing on a monthly basis in the meter reading unit. You specify the intervals for billing on a monthly basis in the portion.

You can also make settings for the following specific situations:

  • Taking leap days into account
  • Handling a move-in/out
  • Handling occasional/intermittent events (such as device installation)
  • Converting time portions in days to months.
